LAMAR COUNTY, TX - A woman led police on a high speed chase through Lamar County yesterday afternoon.

Paris Police tell us it started around 1:30 p.m. on Lamar Avenue in Paris when they tried to pull over a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse for an expired inspection sticker. But the woman behind the wheel took off, leading officers down county roads at speeds near 100 miles per hour and damaging another vehicle before they were able to block her path on a circle drive in a rural area north of Paris.

Kelly Lynn Berry was arrested just before 2 p.m. Police say she had federal drug warrants out of Plano. She faces charges of evading arrest, failing to stop and render aid, and another charge for causing the collision with an SUV.

No one was hurt. Texas DPS and Lamar County deputies assisted in the pursuit.
