Worker taken from Ardmore Valero Refinery dies

ARDMORE, OK - An official with Valero confirms that a man who had to be taken from the Ardmore Valero Refinery to the hospital last night has died.

Bill Greehey with Valero Corporate says the man was a contracted worker with Cat-Spec Limited.

Our calls to Cat-Spec were not immediately returned.

Ardmore police Sergeant Ryan Hunnicutt says they sent an ambulance to the plant around 10 p.m.

It is unclear whether the man died due to a medical issue or an industrial accident.

Hunnicutt says the police are not investigating the death.
