PARIS, TX - Texomans tightened up their resumes and met with potential employers at a job fair today in Paris.
Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas teamed up with over 35 employers at The Paris Career and Community Resources Fair. Hundreds of people came out seeking employment and found the event very helpful.
"I think it's great for the community. There are so many people out of work now days." said fair attendee, Shirley Isabell. "I think it's a great outreach for people to get in touch with positions."
"It's promising, I feel like it's a lot of people here willing to help you, whether to get a job or whether just help you with your life in general." said fair attendee, Demetria Cooper.
Tuesday's three hour event took place at the Red River Region Business Incubator.
Employers from Texas and Oklahoma were on-hand and found the fair a much more efficient way to find possible employees.
"This is an easy way for the employers to visit with a lot of potential job seekers." said Workforce Solutions employee, Bart Spivey. "It's easier for them to do this as opposed to having all the job seekers visit them."
For Demetria Cooper, the fair gave her a better outlook on the future...
"It's a lot places in here that I've talked to, that are willing to help you, whether you've got the experience or not." said Cooper
This was the second year that Workforce Solutions hosted the event in Paris.
