Woman arrested in fatal Ada stabbing

ADA, OK--An Ada woman has been arrested suspected of stabbing a man in the home they shared. Officials tell us 46 year old Loretta felts lived with 42 year old Marcus Watson, and that she confessed to stabbing him earlier today.

Felts was arrested early this morning on suspicion of first degree murder but charges have not yet been filed. Watson's family said Felts was his girlfriend and the two lived together in the 600 block of West First street.

Officials said after Felts stabbed Watson she ran to a neighbor's house and told the neighbor what she had done. They said after calling police the neighbor ran over to their house where he found Watson lying on the porch bleeding. The neighbor told officers that before Watson lost consciousness he told him felts had stabbed him.

Authorities said she later confessed to police she had stabbed Watson but did not mean to hurt him. Watson was taken to Valley View Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:15 this morning. Felts' bond is set at $250 thousand dollars, officials say she will be arraigned Tuesday.
