The Ardmore Senior Nutrition Center on 13th Street Southeast is responsible for delivering meals to as many as 300 elderly people each day, but administrators say someone keeps sabotaging the cooling unit on the walk-in freezer behind the building, causing the coolant to leak out and costing hundreds of dollars in damage.

More diesel fuel thefts in Ardmore

Posted: 06/11/2008 - ARDMORE, OK -- Diesel fuel thefts are apparently on the rise. After a trucker reported last week more than $600 worth of fuel siphoned out of his rig as he slept inside, and on that same night more than $1,200 in diesel was stolen from trucks parked at a local trucking company, another $150 of diesel was reported stolen out of a truck in northwest Ardmore on Tuesday night.

Expect $4 gas through 2009, U.S. Dept. of Energy official says

Posted: 06/11/2008 - WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Department of Energy announced Wednesday morning gas prices are expected to stay around $4 a gallon through next year-- at least. Guy Caruso, head of the department's energy information administration, told a House hearing in Washington that crude oil prices are likely to average $126 a barrel next year, $4 higher than this year.
