Supreme Court Justice Hospitalized

7-13-05 - A Supreme Court spokeswoman says Chief Justice William Rehnquist has been hospitalized for a fever. Rehnquist has been undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer since last fall.

Assault Rifle Attack on Local Home

7-13-05 – A Gainesville man is accused of using an assault-style rifle to open fire on a Cooke County home Wednesday morning, killing Melvin Jay Tamplin. Deputies suspect it was part of an on-going feud.

Elderly, Quadriplegic Man Neglected

6-12-05 – Pottsboro Police are investigating a case of elderly neglect. A 65-year-old man was found stuck in a ditch on Texas St. Monday afternoon. He was a quadriplegic, diabetic, and had apparently been without food and water for days.
