Posted: 01/27/2007 - Fannin County sheriff's officials said a man died Saturday morning trying to steal copper wire. Reports indicate the incident happened between Randolph and Bailey, north of Highway 11. Fannin County Sheriff Kenneth Moore told First News two women and a man were trying to steal copper wire from electrical poles together.

Troopers said 20-year-old Anthony Scott Songer of Prague was driving Southbound on 271, when he went off the road and over-corrected.
