I set out on a mission to find one of the most interesting senior citizens I could. With help from the Meals On Wheels organization, I can say I found her. Our senior citizens are sometimes forgotten or taken for granted. A lot of us seem to think that most of them are sitting on huge “nest eggs” or nice retirements, and that’s not the case. We talk about heroes and legends and the sacrifices people made to ensure our communities are developing in the right direction. The preparations they laid out for our future citizens. Who we're talking about, in my opinion, are our senior citizens.
You will meet such a lady. She has spent her entire life giving and thinking of others, always putting those in need before herself. You will join me in learning her stories and getting to know her. Daisey does not “pull no punches” as you will see when viewing this story, as we discuss how we met for the first time.
What Daisey didn’t know was that it was her turn to receive something for herself. A surprise that she didn’t ask for or know she was getting.
Thanks to Texoma Home Health, Meals On Wheels, Domino's Pizza and the doctors and staff at the Sherman Cardiovascular Care Associates, we made a small dream come true for Daisey.
