The 3rd Annual Lights on the Lake presented by Landmark Bank in conjunction with the City of Sherman is our annual Independence Day celebration at Pecan Grove Park and Amphitheater. Pecan Grove Park is the city's newest and largest park. This event is a free public event with live music, kids' activities, food vendors and a huge fireworks show. This year we are adding a few new attractions for kids' of all ages as well as more food vendors to appeal to everyone's taste buds. As in the previous years, Taps will be running a shuttle from satellite parking locations to the main entrance of the park. From there, you can take a short walk into the park or ride the shuttle into the park. The gates to the park will open at 6:00pm with activities and food vendors ready to help you get started on the celebration. The Oliver White Band will begin playing at 7:00pm. Spur 503 will play at 8:40pm with a short pause for the fireworks at 9:30pm. Spur 503 will resume playing after the fireworks until 10:30pm. So, bring your lawn chairs, blankets, kids even the family dog (on a leash) and help us celebrate our nations Independence while listening to music and enjoying the fireworks.
