Please don't baffle the Judge with facts. It will only give him a headache.

Nice call, Judge. However, those of us who can read ALL the words noticed that this story takes place in Ector, Texas.

Typical Oklahoma work ethic. If you hang around and gossip with your friends all day instead of scrambling to find new ways to bring in income (oil changes, coolant flushes, etc.), you will go out of business.

This is a shame but it's a sign of the times. There are a thousand programs for those who will not work, but basically nothing for someone like this who fights to keep a good business open.

McCraw s put this man out of business by making him pay higher prices than others.Younger ones don,t care about the smaller people. So sad.

That's so sad that that our independently owned mom and pop operations are becoming a thing of the past. As a teenager in the 1970's I worked at a service station. All stations offered full service then, and even as a kid, I took pride in how we served our customers. I so enjoyed the talks, getting to know people.
