It is sad what this poor girl is going through, but to those who keep bashing Ardmore, I have one word for you: MOVE! Let us law-abiding citizens who don't get into bar fights or street fights or drive drunk live our lives in peace! Thank you!
No she did not leave the scene to run she left because dispatch told her to. As for the girl...when I was pregnant I didn't do ANYTHING. much less run out into the street @2am in the middle of my dad brother and two other men fighting. I pray for her and not saying she deserved this just saying not to paint Veronica out as a sick murderer. She was just trying to get away n went straight to where dispatch told her to meet cops. Also They were not leaving to get away from a fight but from the cops. This is mostly the fault of the ignorant men who drug these women into their drunken mess.
Thats one of the many reason I left Ardmore ! OKC is bad too but at least police have some balls.

The woman should be in prison charged with murder and attempted murder.... Ardmore police are a JOKE...theyd rather pull someone over and write a ticket for no seatbelt than do their job when it comes to real police work! How can our law enforcement(the people who are supposed to protect us) be so passive when it comes to things like this! Things like this are why people takes things into their own hands because we have NO faith in our law enforcement and the reason for that is clearly obvious!

no anonymous, i wouldnt be running out so see any kind of violence....and i never said she said anything...was her house close to a bar or something...one of the news reports I saw showed a pic of a bar, so was the woman coming from that bar...stories are conflicting, again I pray for her.
I know for a fact APD have NO SENSE! Ive spoken with them before, they are very ignorant. Ardmore is a pathetic town bc of its law enforcement. They are even pulling ppl over and giving them hell for having "justice for Shelby" written on there cars. APD has never done anything right. This town needs REAL officers of the law. And as for Shelby, she is a victim. Obviously her family left the bar not wanting to fight with those ppl that ran her over. She had evey right to be in the street in front of her own home. The woman that hit her SHOULD be in jail. Its obvious the police out there are stupid. So can we please have someone else step in and handle this case.
No I do not know any of the parties involved in this tragedy but I do know that all the facts are not out. I believe in innocent until proven guilty and there are to many stories out there that just don't match up. We as citizens should not pass judgement based solely on the words we hear from a small group of people that are gonna be biased anyways.
So the house has a fence across the front yard, so the driver wasn't in the yard. The bar is three blocks over from this street, so at least they were drinking close to home. I will say that if I follow you home from the bar during a fight, I will get what ever I deserve while at your residence. Don't look for trouble and you might not end up in jail! Hope the victim makes it out of this alive. As for APD, the Craig Ladd statement is true about iron clad case before he will prosecute. He doesn't want to lose a case so instead he turn criminals loose with slaps on the wrist! I know of a meth dealer who just got drug court and 3 yrs. probation! You know what she is doing while she is free? Selling meth for her fine payment, WHAT A FREAKING JOKE!!!!!
Your statement sounds like you know the person who ran this innocent girl over and killed her unborn child. How would you feel had this happened to one of your own family and the PD did NOTHING about it? Doesnt matter who's side your hearing the fact remains that leaving the scene of an accident is a CRIME, driving under the influence is a CRIME, what this woman did is a CRIME that cost the life of an unborn child and possibly the life of the unborn's mother.
Really?? Is this a threat? Millions of AMERICANS go out to bars and clubs. Its called freedom. Maybe we should all stay home... where we can be ran over in our street.
Ardmore town and ardmore police and law are all just bad. Nothing good comes out of or is going for ardmore anymore at all and never will turn around. It is full of want-to-be thugs and gangsters and gangs and white kids trying to act black "which really erks my nerves" and shootings,drugs,robberies,fights and so on and so on. Ardmore is not a good place to live and u are not safe anywhere in this S**t Hole town!
