Well she prolly was not running out to see a fight saying "oh hell yeah lets go watch this fight".... Dumb!!! It was at her house in her front yard with her family so was prolly wondering wtf was going on and what to do. And i'm sure if was your family and your house you would be outside too. Stop putting blame on her for stuff that is not her fault and being a hypocrite.
If you attending ANYTHING in Ardmore, take caution. Isnt it a bad example if your Daddy and your brother left a bar @2 am??
I have heard alot about Marshall CO and their Drunk Driving problems...there is definitely something wrong with just getting probation for killing someone...but Carter CO isn't much better on convicting people and I am not just going to say it is the DA that has the problem...when Tabitha Churchill got stabbed several years ago, Jessica Lehman did not serve the time she should have for murder...a couple of years don't justify for someone's life...APD has a problem
She still left the scene of an accident, that alone is a crime...she should have never followed the people to their house to begin with...the family was the bigger person and left and decided not to continue fighting
Very well said Texas....I know for a fact they can either amend charges and they can even add more charges later...I just don't get why they are not doing anything...

THIS IS GOING TO TURN OUT JUST LIKE THE CASE IN MARSHALL COUNTY. TODAY AMANDA THOMPSON WALKED OUT OF THE MARSHALL COUNTY COURT HOUSE ON A 15 YEAR PROBATION. SHE KILLED BETSY BRIDGEMAN MASHORE AND HER SON 5 YEARS AGO. SHE WAS DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. AND KILLED THEM. THIS IS JUST WRONG. GO CHECK OUT HER ARREST RECORD ON ODCR.COM. JUSTICE WAS NOT SERVED ON THIS ONE EITHER. SOMETHNG NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THESE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO ARE LET GO TO KILL AGAIN. MAYBE KXII WOULD DO A FOLLOW UP WITH BETSY'S FAMILY.

The problem is Craig Ladd couldnt convict the pope of being Catholic, so the PD has to make an airtight case before presenting it to him. That is all, please continue with your day.
Blank, you are right, we are only hearing one side. Was she driving in the street? What was Shelby doing in the street? Did the police actually say the driver was drunk or is that hearsay from the family. I understand they are upset, but there is another side to be heard. The police don't want to make a sensitive issue worse in case someone other than the driver is at fault. You can't stand in front of a car & expect to be safe. I mean come on. I hope Shelby is ok, I am by no means on one side or the other, I don't know any of them.
I am all for getting the facts straight ect BUT the person left the scene after she ran Shelby over she went back to bar where police found her.I heard that on the scanner.Even if they didn't want to say she was the one who did it WHY not at least be arrested for DWI.If everyone says we are hearing only the family side . Then Ardmore PD give us a statment as to WHY this person is still FREE. Kadence has loss his life & his mommy is still fighting for her's.
The cops know who did this and the person that did this awful thing is probably a friend of the Ardmore PD and that is the reason they havent done anything! How much clearer of a picture and story do they need?? The facts are clear the driver ran over someone and left the scene ARREST the driver for leaving the scene of an accident and THEN finish getting the rest of the story. The girl done lost her baby does she have to lose her own life before the PD do anything???!!! How messed up is that!!!
the woman who ran her over needed to be picked up at the scene especially since the cops said she was so drunk she couldnt drive..she needs to be charged with attempted murder and murder in the first degree for the child and public intixication and endangerment. there is no excuse for her actions and she needs to pay the price for her actions.
The broadcast this morning APD said "They want to have all the facts, so they don't arrest the wrong suspect" How could that possibly happen? There was only 1 driver. ARD knows that they found her at the bar after she run over Shelby! The driver should have been arrested for, at the very least, a Felony Hit & Run, she left the scene and didn't even try to call 911, NO REMORSE! The known facts APD are at the end of the day a 19 yr old girl lies @ OU fighting for her life, her unborn baby has been murdered! While the driver lives life as usual. No circumstances or facts can justify your negligence and the mis-handling of this case.
The problem with all this is we are only hearing one side of the story and that is the families side. Rumors have gone around that there was people provoking things and all the driver wanted to do was leave the scene. As for the being so drunk, APD is very good at arresting people that drink and drive, they do this all the time. So why cant we just wait to see what the whole story is. If she hurt her on purpose then let justice prevail. If not, then leave her the heck alone.
