Fair share? For starters, raise the rate on top income earners back to where it was pre-Bush, and eliminate the litany of tax loopholes enjoyed almost exclusively by top income earners and corporations. That's not socialism. In fact, those rates are far below those which existed back in the good old days of the 1950's. You know, when men were men, Commies were commies, and blacks rode in the back of the bus, and drank from a differnt fountain than you. Obama will have no problem running on his record, because his record also exposes the do nothing, obstructionist Republican Senators and Congressmen for what they really are: Lazy (doing no work but collecting huge salaries and benefits), and anti-American (with economic policies and a hands off attitude that not only brought about the great recession, but have been instrumental in thwarting recovery). Remember, their expressed top priority for the past 3 years is to prevent Obamas re-election. Not jobs, not improving the economy, not fighting terrorism. Just do whatever they can to make matters worse. Hey hogs is hogs, Anonymomo, and chances are just about every well healed hog you see has their head in the trough. I don't care what political party they belong to. BTW, I am waiting for your boy Mitt to push hard to raise taxes on the 50% to which you refer. Heck, aside from a few fringies in your party, they all seem to be fairly quiet on that subject. Why is that? Must be socialists, huh?

Wow! I have not seen that level of sexism since the 1970s...

This is more of a crock! Obama is demonizing businesses every time he speaks. He clearly cannot run on his failed record, so all he can do is pit Americans against Americans (a real uniter, isn't he?). So Joey, define "fair share" for us. Is 50% of the American people paying NOTHING fair? What is their "fair share"? Nothing? I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but socialism does not work! We are another Greece in the making under this president. I agree with you about the hogs at the trough too - people like Warren Buffet, John Kerry, the Kennedys, etc.....yep, no bigger hogs than those!

It's exciting to see a local business making such a positive impact on area high school seniors! This is the kind of news we need to hear more of.

What a crock. Obama hasn't said big business is evil. Proposing a modest tax increase on higher income groups and certain businesses is not branding them as evil. Look around you locally, where many ISD's and cities have raised tax rates. That in no way is a suggestion that the property owners in those areas are evil. Futhermore, "normal people" have been paying their fair share. If you cannot figure out what fair share means, thry this: those who reap the greatest benefit in our society should be expected to pay a greater portion. Those who have accumulated wealth and created fewer jobs since having received tax breaks eight years ago or so, should go back to paying at least the same rates they were when they WERE creating more jobs. It has been suggested that those whose increase in incomes have far out paced those of "normal people", should have their tax liability increased a few extra percetage points. Most think that is fair. Others call it class warfare. The gap between rich and poor, and the gap between the rich and the middle class is greater than ever before, and I find it amusing that this is all going on while a foreign born, commie, muslim, socialist, facist is in the Oval office. And BTW, you can bet that a huge amount of that "wreckless" spending" ended up in the pockest of those in the higher income brackets. There are no bigger hogs at the government trough than well healed people and businesses. Heck, even a relatively small government contract yields more profit to a private business than all the TANF benefits doled out to a city full of unwed mothers.

Say what??? Big business helping people? This simply cannot be! Obama said that big businesses are evil and should be taxed to the hilt to pay for his wreckless spending. Remember, everyone needs to pay their fair share! THe rich and big companies need to pay everything and the normal people need to contribute nothing. Isn't that what "fair share" really means?? Just curious.
