Well, this is where we can just agree to disagree. Becoming a truck driver is a person's choice. They were not forced into that profession. Bottom line is, courtesy and caution needs to be extended no matter how many wheels the vehicle has.

Who watches out for motorcycles? I spend more time watching out for everybody else.

I believe every licensed driver should spend a day in a truck and experience what problems 4 wheelers cause for trucks.

truckers are not going to risk their job by texting . I can tell you that nearly every 4 wheeler I pass people are on the phone texting or talking

If you need to travel between whitesboro and Sherman, get on Hwy 56. Hwy 82 remains closed from 289 to Sadler Rd. Both sides.

Most of the time it is not the truck driver but stupid people in the 4-wheelers causing the accident. People do not realize that a big truck weighing 80K pounds cannot stop on a dime. People need to watch out for truckers like they watch for motorcycles!

Long delays at 82 and 289 at 3:30. Traffic is being diverted to 289 south and north

Talking and texting on phone probably led to this incident

I would not want the job of a truck driver! In saying that, what is up with all of these wrecks involving 18-wheelers!? This makes 3 in our area in less than a week. I'm sure alot of these companies put pressure on the driver to get from point A to point B in record time. So, very little rest plus a tired driver equals more accidents. In closing, truckers please slow down - you can't turn or stop those things on a dime; get some sleep; and arrive at your destination in one piece.
