SHERMAN, TX - Drivers will soon have to slow down on part of the U.S. Highway 75 service road in Sherman.
City Council members gave TX-DOT the okay to drop the speed limit gradually from 55 to 40 miles per hour along the northbound frontage road of the Sam Rayburn Freeway near the U.S. 82 intersection.
Mayor Bill Magers says TX-DOT requested the speed limit change to improve safety in the area. The speed limit signs will go up in the next couple of months.
