Send Melissa man given 15 years for molesting teen relative

McKINNEY, TX - A Melissa, Texas, man will spend the next 15 years in prison after he admitted he molested a 14-year-old female relative.

The Collin County District Attorney's Office tells us a jury convicted 41-year-old Harold Clarrett of child sexual assault yesterday.

Clarrett confessed to police two years ago that his sexual relationship with the child continued for up to six months.

He tried to justify his conduct by stating to police that he was trying to satisfy the child's sexual urges so she wouldn't get pregnant.
