Major Gainesville exit closes

GAINESVILLE, TX - A major exit in Gainesville will be closed for the next three weeks. TX-DOT says the eastbound U.S. Highway 82 exit off Northbound Interstate 35 closed today.

It's part of their I-35/US 82 Interchange Improvement Project so construction crews can rebuild the Northbound I-35 frontage road near that exit.

They say drivers who need to take U.S. 82 east toward Sherman can follow a detour to exit number 500 at FM 372 and drive back south to U.S. 82.
