BONHAM, TX-- Thomas Taunton faced the Fannin County courtroom for a motion hearing. At issue - whether the prosecution would seek the death penalty.

The prosecutor and Taunton's defense attorney said they agreed to postpone the decision until October about whether the death penalty will be an option in this case.

Taunton is accused of shooting and killing, 73-year-old Harold Harpst, his mother, 79-year-old Sue Harpst and his sister, 48-year-old Regina Taunton, in January.

Their bodies were found a few days later off Highway 11 in Grayson County. Taunton was later arrested in Louisiana and brought back to Fannin County on capital murder charges with no bond.
