Rod Been named girls coordinator

DENISON, TX - Rod Been is coming to Denison, hired as the girls coordinator and girls basketball head coach

Rod Been joins the Yellow Jacket staff after serving eight years at Gruver High School. He led the girls basketball program to the regional quarterfinals five times, including last year, when they went an impressive 31-and-4 and district champions.

Been is also a Cross Country coach and led the girls team to three state titles in route to receiving coach the year honors this past year.

This is the first hire for Chad Rogers since being named athletic director. Rogers still needs to find a volleyball and girls soccer coach.
