Dodd City/Stamford State Semifinals

The Dodd City Hornets fell short in their bid to win a state championship by falling to Stamford, 4-1, in the state semifinals.

Stamford was powered by the pitching of Kyle Barnett to advance to the title game in Round Rock. Barnett allowed only 6 hits and one run in route to the 4-1 victory for the Bulldogs.

The state title game will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday at Dell Diamond.
