The summer season is sizzling with some hot new games out on the market. The economy has more guys staying put on the couch instead of taking to the road and burning their gas. Ryan Loyd has this report.

We all know how guys love to play games, and this year, vacations may be cut short because of the high price of gas.

So the summer is filled with fantasy for recent graduates heading into the real world, as well as for dads who just celebrated Fathers Day with their families.

Gaming expert Scott Steinberg has a few cool suggestions to beat the heat. Instead of sweating it out on the links, or even driving there for that matter, why not try a virtual golf course?

"Hot Shots Golf, Open Tee, PSP..."

There are also plenty of other games, especially for NASCAR fans that will have you behind the wheel without spending a penny on gas.

"Easiest one yet, Jeff Gordon guides you through this one for the PS3 and Xbox 360"

And what about some singing? You don't have to be the next American Idol, but you can try.

"Karaoke Simulator for PS3, you can duet with your friends."

So combine some intense racing with other games that are just plain fun, and play it cool indoors.
