We received a picture from a viewer of an albino squirrel! The viewer who sent this in said the squirrel has just been hanging around for the past six months.

This link shows several towns bragging that they have the most albino squirrels:

The white squirrel brings back memories-we had one around our house for 5 years. It lived in a "hollow" in a large oak tree, in our back yard. We have many squirrels around. When we first saw "Blanca," all the other squirrels chased it, trying to run it off. I guess it finally had enough and developed an attitude! It started chasing all the other squirrels-it became the boss of the back yard. This is the first year Blanca has been gone. We would talk with it-it would chatter to us and let us get within about 10 feet. It had blue eyes, not pink as is the case with most albinos. From what I understand, (limited reasearch) albino squirrels can have blue, pink, or brown eyes. Blanca was "different" and was treated differently by those around it-almost human behavior.

There was a picture of an Albino squirrel in the paper not long ago. I wonder if it is the same squirrel we had in our yard for three years. Always wondered what happened to it.

That is not a squirrel. It is a lab rat on steroids. Now all the hillbillies are craving squirrel n dumplins.

If it's on Lamar Street in Sherman, it won't last long. Maybe they can stuff him after someone smashes him under a tire.

Geez, that's a super cute little guy. Too bad the possum eaters are ready to chow down on him. Maybe send him to a zoo. Sounds like the sporks and Fancy Ketchup packets are being passed around.
