Cooking with Cathy: September Dove with Spicy-Sweet Dipping Sauce

Ingredients:

*Serves 1!

6 dove fillets
1 TBS. extra virgin olive oil
Zeis Spice:
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. lemon pepper
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

Sauce

1 TBS. pure honey
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
juice of 1/2 lime

Directions:

If using a grill, brush dove with extra virgin olive oil and grill with spices over high heat. Or, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, grill dove fillets in oil with spices. Cook for 2 minutes per side, turning twice. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes. In a small bowl, mix sauce ingredients and stir well. Spoon sauce into a small dipping bowl and serve with cooked dove. Serve warm.
