Cathy's 4th of July Dessert Recipe

Cool Summer Peach Dessert

1 large peach pealed and sliced

1 4oz carton of fresh blackberries

16oz of plain yogurt

1 tsp honey

1/4 cup of walnuts

In a bowl mix honey and yogurt. Place peaches in bottom of serving bowl. Top with yogurt and fresh blackberries.

pour 1 tsp of honey on top, then sprinkle walnuts.

Sangria is a fresh fruit & wine cocktail. Fresh summer peaches make the perfect sangria. Pineapple gives a soft tropical touch while also adding a citrus note.

3 oz. Chilled Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio (recommend Columbia Crest Sauv. Blanc, Sutter Home Sauv. Blanc or Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio)

2 oz. Pineapple Juice

1 Orange Wedge (1/8 medium orange, squeeze and leave in glass)

1 Lemon Wedge (1/8 lemon, squeeze and leave in glass)

¼ fresh peach, peeled and micro diced (so it can fit through straw, also, smaller pieces have smaller surface area and allow the flavor to release faster)

1 oz. Sprite

Fill a 10-12 oz. wine glass with ice. Add ingredients as listed. Stir to blend the ingredients and enjoy!
