Calling all men! Are you looking for a fishing buddy, a co-mechanic to help you fix up that old car or just someone you can toss a ball with? Well, Big Brothers Big Sisters has the perfect solution!
Its simple, become a Big Brother today and in no time you will be having fun while impacting the life of a child in Grayson County. With the need for Bigs steadily increasing, it is vital that we have male mentors. At any given time 90% of the children on our waiting list are boys in need of a Big Brother.
Don’t wait! You can apply today at www.bbbstx.org. BBBS is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. We match children ages 6 through 18 with mentors in professionally supported one-to-one relationships.
BBBS has a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Matches come together through our two essential programs: Community-based Mentoring and School-based Mentoring. With Community-based Mentoring, Bigs and Littles meet for as little as an hour a week in their community to share fun activities, stories and a little bit of themselves. When participating in School-based Mentoring, Bigs and Littles meet once a week in schools, libraries and community centers, to talk and have fun.
For more information you can contact Whitney Hulsey at whulsey@bbbstx.org or by calling (903) 893-0900 ext. 673.
