Lowe's Home Improvement of Sherman is partnering with the Family Self Sufficiency Program of Texoma Council of Governments to collect school supplies August 1 – 14, 2007.

Each person who donates school supplies or monies will receive a door prize ticket. Area merchants have donated door prizes which will be drawn on August 17th. Donations may also be made on the 3rd floor of Texoma Council of Governments located at 1117 Gallagher Drive in Sherman.

The Family Self Sufficiency Program is to help families transition from welfare. Right now, TCOG is helping 88 families in this program. The school supply drive is only for these families. The supplies will be distributed August 16 in Fannin County and August 17 in Grayson County.

You may drop off your supplies at TCOG or Lowe's. If you'd like to contact Sally Hodges with the Texoma Council of Governments, call 903-813-3536.
