You probably already have your Christmas meal planned, but have you thought yet about New Years? Chef Josh Aaron shares a great way to prepare cod for your friends and family - 2 ways!

Cod Two Ways

4 pieces of Cod
salt and pepper
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp season salt
canola or vegetable oil for frying
olive oil
1 shiner or guiness
2 cups flour
2 eggs

Season the flour with all the seasoning and set aside. Also season cod filets with salt and pepper and set aside. Whip eggs and beer together until eggs are fully beaten, then mix in flour until mixture is thick but still a little liquidy. Heat frying oil to 350 degrees and heat olive oil in frying pan till begins to smoke. Dredge 2 of the filets in the beer batter and drop them in your hot oil. Put the other 2 in the pan with the olive oil and cook 2 to 3 min on each side. Make sure to turn the beer battered ones after 2 to 3 mins as well. When plating just drizzle with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Now 2 full hours!
