Cooking with Angie: Heavenly Pumpkin Dessert

We are cooking with Chef Angie this morning! Today we are making a great holiday pumpkin dessert.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1 yellow cake mix (the kind without pudding)
Reserve 1 cup of the dry cake mix
To remainder of cake mix add 1/2 cup melted butter and 1 egg.
Mix well and put in the bottom of a 9 x 12 pan of which you spray only the bottom.
Combine 1 large can PUMPKIN PIE MIX (32 oz.) with 2 eggs, 2/3 cup milk, 1/4 t. ginger, 1/4 t. nutmeg. Spread over mix in pan.
To remaining cake mix add 1/4 cup Sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Stir and sprinkle over layers.
Bake 45 min-60 min. until set when lightly shaken. Serve topped with whipped cream.
