DENISON, TX---A family is displaced this morning following an early morning fire.
Firefighters responded to the 400 block of west Monterrey Street just after 1:00 after a report of smoke coming from an upstairs window.
Officials say the fire was put out quickly, but that there would be a lot of work to clear debris.
The red cross was available to help assist the residents and keep them warm.
Assistant Chief Bill Ray says the family was all able to get out safe.
"All we know is it started in the middle of the upstairs, and the resident said even he doesn't know what caused the fire. We have them in the ambulance staying warm, we've contacted the Red Cross, it looks like there's going to be 7 people displaced from this fire."
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
