DENISON, TX---College students across Texoma are in the midst of taking finals, but because of the winter weather, some testing has been delayed.
There's ice covering the Grayson College campus in Denison, lots of it.
The ice storm felt around Texoma has left a big impact in the classroom, delaying finals week for students.
"It's kind of a pain." said tor Franka.
"It's a little frustrating, you know; you kind of want to get it over with." said Jordan Jackson.
The campus has been closed now for a week, pushing finals back each day.
"A lot of people had to take work off yesterday, because they thought they had a test today and then it ended up school got cancelled at the very last minute." said tor Franka.
The college is set to open Today after crews have been at work shoveling ice, clearing sidewalks and doing all they can to start back up.
"I want to get college going, our faculty wants to get college going, our students want to get college going." said Mcmillen.
In order to help, Grayson College President Dr. Jeremy Mcmillen has asked faculty to think of alternative online testing and other accommodations for the students.
"We need to try and get finals going as quickly as we can, and have our students to be able to finish and be able to go on and enjoy the holidays."
Despite the acclamations however, some students are still leery.
"Maybe there could possible be some finals stuff that gets mixed up, some grades that gets mixed up because it is online." said Varden.
But others don't mind the extra break.
"It's good to have another day too." said Jackson.
