Pedestrian hit, killed by car on I-35
ARDMORE, OK - An Ardmore man was killed Friday evening when he was hit by a car on Interstate 35 in Love County. His vehicle had run out of gas and he was walking along I-35 in a poorly lit area.

ARDMORE, OK - An Ardmore man was killed Friday evening when he was hit by a car on Interstate 35 in Love County.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Jackie Collins' vehicle ran out of gas on southbound I-35 near mile marker 17 in Marietta.
OHP said Collins left his car and walked down to exit 15 to get gas. But while he was walking back to his car, another vehicle struck him. OHP reported that the area is poorly lit, it was dark outside and Collins was wearing dark colored clothing.
OHP recommends that you never walk down a major road or highway. And if you do have car trouble, you can dial *55 and a trooper will come and assist you for free.
