DURANT, Okla. & DENTON, Tex. -- A man police say kidnapped his girlfriend is now in custody. Durant Police say Calvin Sterling, 19, took his 18-year-old girlfriend, Janet Medina of Durant, to Denton, Texas.
They were spotted at a Kroger Grocery Store there. When authorities arrived, Sterling ran away but police later caught him.
Denton police say Medina was not hurt but that she was taken against her will.
Court records show Medina filed a protective order against sterling earlier this month.
Authorities report that Medina's younger brother was present when Sterling showed up Wednesday morning at her house and forced her into the car in the 200 block of East Texas Street in Durant.
Sterling faces evading arrest charges in Denton as well as a kidnapping charge in Durant.
