FANNIN COUNTY, TX-- Jack Morris's family gathered near the intersection of FM 1550 and 271 outside of Bonham, Thursday night, the last place he was seen, one year ago.

Since then, very few leads have surfaced about his disappearance.

Joshua Morris, said, "We haven't taken a step forward from the very first day."

Joshua Morris says he knows the truth is out there, and says learning what happened to his father is the only way to help him and his family, cope.

"Somebody has to know what happened, if they could just come forward and help us find my father, at least give us some closure, so we can go on with our lives," he said.

More than 3000 man hours were spent searching for Jack Morris, after his truck was found on the side of the road in Cotton Center, August 12th, 2009.

More than 250 volunteers from all over North Texas, and as far as Oklahoma City, searched more than 3/4 of Fannin County, during the days following his disappearance.

The Dodd City Fire department continued searching for three weeks, but still came up with nothing.

"You just don't realize what it does, until it happens to you," Lewie Robertson, said.

Robertson didn't sleep for weeks, he said, after learning of his brother's disappearance.

He hopes the one year anniversary will re-energize those in the community to continue looking for answers.

"Somebody knows that he's missing, and they know why he's missing. We'd like for some information to come to light, and maybe get closure for this," Robertson, said.
