ARDMORE, OK - The body of an Ardmore man who drowned in Lake Murray was discovered early Tuesday morning.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say 46 year old Terry Wayne Lemley of Ardmore was found around 4 a.m. They say Lemley had been at the lake with his family around midnight and walked into chest deep water near an unloading ramp. Lemley was last seen swimming around some cattails. His body was found in 8 feet of water just 25 feet from the shore.

"This gentleman was a swimmer. I was thinking maybe he got tired and possibly maybe had some medical problems," Trooper Marty Grisham of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

OHP says this is the third drowning at Lake Murray this summer.
