SHERMAN, TX -- Dozens of people interested in agriculture took part in a general AG seminar Tuesday evening.
“We're doing a basic AG meeting - trying to cover the basic topics of use to producers around here - trying to meet their needs,” David Annis a consultant with the Noble Foundation explained.
The Noble Foundation teamed up with the Texas AgriLife Extension office to host the free seminar in Sherman.
The session focused on pasture and wildlife management, along with providing basic knowledge for the upcoming fall season.
Consultants with the Noble Foundation say the seminar targets those new to agriculture, and is about providing practical knowledge that people can use for the upcoming Fall season.
"Most AG enterprises - we have definite seasons that we work within and if we can manage within those better we tend to have fewer problems and issues later in the year," Huge Aljoe a consultant with the Noble Foundation said.
A second basic AG event will be next Tuesday - August 24th at the Grayson County Courthouse.
