COOKE COUNTY, OK A Cooke County man is in jail in connection with the death of a 7 month old girl.

It began as a medical call Monday afternoon. Cooke County Chief Deputy Jim Carter says authorities were called out to a house in the 2600 block of County Road 223 for a possible injured infant. The 7 month old girl was then flown to Cooke's Children Hospital, where doctors determined she had a fractured skull.

On Wednesday, 31-year-old Wesley Wayne Schutes was arrested for injury to a child. He's reportedly the boyfriend of the baby's biological mother. The baby died early Thursday morning.

Schutes remains in jail on $250,000 bond. Authorities say the case remains under investigation, and they're waiting an autopsy report from the medical examiner's office.
