DENISON, TX -- Five people were seriously hurt Friday evening in an accident on Highway 75. Two medical helicopters were dispatched to the scene and the northbound service road near loy lake was shut down for a time.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Officers say for unknown reasons a woman driving a mini-van with four other people inside, lost control of the van and rolled all the way down the shoulder of Highway 75, just north of Loy Lake Road.

A 14-year-old girl suffered severe burns after being ejected and then pinned under the vehicle. She was flown to Parkland Hospital, another 14-year-old was flown to Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

The two other passengers, and the adult driver, were taken to TMC.

Brad Klaus was one of the people who helped the teen out from under the vehicle. He says he just did what anyone else would have done.

"We really need to be concerned about our friends and neighbors and they're our neighbors so never drive away from somebody who needs help," Klaus said.

Klaus said that several other people had to lift the van while he and another man pulled the young girl out from under it. No word on any of the victims' conditions, and their names are not being released.

Denison police say there may have been a tire blowout, but they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
