9-13-04 – A high-profile murder case in Bryan County goes to trial Monday. The Bryan County District Attorney is seeking the death penalty for the shooting-death of an Achille man last May.

Stanley Trammel is charged with first degree murder in the 2003 death of John Duncan. Authorities say Trammel got into a fight at Hambones Bar in Cartwright and was kicked out. Later, they believe Trammel opened fire on two men as they stepped outside of the bar.
