SHERMAN, TX - A Sherman man receives two prison sentences, one for 65 years and the other for 20 years, on charges of child sexual assault.

James Allen Kunkel, 38, was accused of sexually abusing a six year old girl. In July 2008, the girl told a relative about the abuse, that adult then called police. The girl was then taken to the Grayson County Children's Advocacy Center where she told the interviewer about several instances of abuse.

Though Kunkel denied any sexual contact, a jury found him guilty.

Kunkel will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years in prison.
