9-14-04 - OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Texas reliever Frank Francisco has been arrested by Oakland police on a charge of aggravated battery.

He threw a chair into the stands during the ninth inning of last night's game in Oakland, injuring two spectators.

One woman suffered a broken nose after being struck by the chair.

The incident was part of a confrontation between members of the Rangers and fans near the team's bullpen along the right field line.

Major League Baseball is looking into the situation.

The 25-year-old Francisco was the rookie of the month in August when he went 3-and-0 with a 1.69 ERA.
