Civic center dedicates lobby to Medal of Honor Host City Program
GAINESVILLE, TX -- The city hosted a one of a kind dedication Tuesday evening. The civic center dedicated its lobby to the Medal of Honor Host City Program.

GAINESVILLE, TX -- The city hosted a one of a kind dedication Tuesday evening. The civic center dedicated its lobby to the Medal of Honor Host City Program.
Dozens came out for the dedication to honor true American heroes, both past and present.
The lobby is lined with war mementos, Medal of Honor memorabilia... And pictures of the veterans.
Organizers say Gainesville is the only Medal of Honor Host City in the nation, and they're proud to recognize the recipients.
"It gives the city an identity visually, so when they come in here they know they're in the Medal of Honor Host City Program, not just another city," Board members Gary Alexander said.
