Guilty of Murder - Trammel Facing Death

Video will be available shortly.

9-24-04 - A Bryan County jury deliberated nearly 5 hours before finding Stanley Trammel guilty of 1st degree murder on Friday. Now he could face the death penalty for shooting John Duncan in May of 2003.

Trammel’s relatives and friends reacted with tears of grief as the verdict was read. But witnesses to the crime say Trammel got what he deserved – saying he shot Duncan down in cold blood as Duncan and another man walked out of Hambones Bar in Cartwright.

Moments earlier, Trammel had been thrown out of the bar following a fight.

The jury will decide next week if Trammel deserves the death penalty. The jury did find him not guilty on two counts of felonious use of a firearm.
