Six Killed in House Fire

9-26-04- Six people were killed in an Oklahoma City house fire Sunday morning. The victims of that fire have been identified as the Soners-Wilder family and their 15 year old neighbor.

Major Brian Stanaland of the Oklahoma City Fire Department says
the victims included a couple and their three children as well as a
teenage neighbor who had spent the night.

They were identified as: Jack Soners-Wilder and his wife, Connie
Soners-Wilder; 19 year old Daniel Soners-Wilder, 17 year old
Leisylle Soners-Wilder; 11 year old Aimy Soners-Wilder; and the neighbor, 15 year old Kayla Hayes.

The victims were discovered in the garage of the home. Stanaland
says authorities believe they were trying to escape through heavy
metal burglar bars when they were overcome by thick smoke.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
