Rough Landing for Skydiver

10-2-04- A rough landing at Skydive Dallas near Whitewright sent a skydiver to a Dallas Hospital with serious back injuries. Lifestar was called to the scene of the accident just before 8:00 p.m Saturday.

Rescuers say the skydiver landed in a bed of gravel and believe lack of lighting may have played a factor in the rough landing.

The man was flown by Lifestar Helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas as a precaution because of the severity of the injuries to his back.
