Teen Vandals Pay for Crime

Video will be available shortly.

10-16-04- For some teenage vandals in Ardmore, the punishment fit he crime Saturday afternoon. After vandalizing several homes built by Habitat for Humanity volunteers, the teenagers picked up hammers and nails and helped volunteers rebuild.

Several of the homes were vandalized back in June. The teens kicked in doors, broke door frames and even left their muddy footprints behind. Four juveniles were arrested for the crime. Saturday, one of those teenagers worked off his punishment by giving back to one of the homes he helped destroy. The 14 year old says he also learned about community service in the process.

The homes the volunteers are building are part of a project to build 15 Habitat homes off of Turner Road.
