10-18-04 – A Van Alstyne man is recovering at a Dallas hospital after a shooting Sunday afternoon. The victim’s girlfriend is in custody, accused of the crime.

Police say a heated argument between the victim and 36-year-old Tina Michelle Fox led to the incident.

Police say Fox shot her live-in boyfriend with a nine millimeter hand gun at around 4:00 p.m. Sunday at their home in the 12000 block of FM 121.

Sheriff’s deputies say they found the victim lying in the front yard, his girlfriend at his side. The man was taken by Care-Flight to a Dallas hospital. Authorities say no vital organs were hit.

Tina Fox is in the Grayson County jail, she will be charged with aggravated assault.
