Letter Causes Scare Over Water

Video will be available shortly.

12-03-04 – A letter to residents in Tishomingo led to some early morning panic about the quality of drinking water in the area. The letter was misinterpreted by most, leading to confusion and worries

The letter, which was put in citizen’s mailboxes, attempted to explain that the city had missed a deadline for testing their water. Although the water tested clean, the city was still required to send out the letter that the deadline had been missed.

City leaders want to implement changes into the water sampling schedule to assure another mix-up does not happen.
