Real Scare for Denison Mom

Video will be available shortly.

10-25-04 - A Denison woman thought she was taking her children to a haunted house this weekend, but ended up experiencing a local church’s Hell House – an attraction that features real life crimes and controversial issues.

Shawna Geesling brought her two elementary age children to Hell House 3, on Woodlawn Avenue, thinking it was just a normal haunted house. But inside, they witnessed re-enactments of an abortion, a murder, a school shooting, and a suicide. She claims the only warning they received was when a person at the door told them it was ‘graphic’ just before they walked in.

The 1st Assembly of God Church in Denison has sponsored the Hell House for 3 straight years. An organizer from the church says this is a community awareness project, targeted at adults and teenagers. She says they prefer that children 12 and under only go through with their parents, or not at all. The organizer also told First News that attendants do warn parents with children, before they enter the house.
