12-14-04 – A homicide in Ardmore last week has now been ruled a medical death after results from a medical examiner. The charges against Regina Rucker, 41, have now been downgraded from manslaughter to assault and battery.
Rucker was arrested last week for first degree manslaughter of her common law husband Dillard Murray Ruth. She told police she found him dead in his home, but police discovered the two had been involved in a fight the night before he died. Rucker waited almost 10 hours before calling the police.
The medical examiner could not rule definitively that Ruth died from injuries sustained in the fight.
