10-29-04 - A former Honey Grove and Denison police officer has been arrested in connection to a drug bust. David Wayne Stanley, 36, of Bonham was arrested after an investigation by the Denison Police Department's narcotics team.
The arrest was made after officers stopped a pickup on a minor traffic violation. 40 grams of methamphetamine was found inside the truck's camper shell.
Stanley was an officer in Honey Grove in the early 90's and later served with Denison Police Department before resigning in 2001.
